It is one of the most popular sports and entertainment halls in Poland. The saucer has an area of about 30,000 m2. The hall has more than 7,770 seats located in 35 sectors, among which there is also a specially separated VIP sector. The spectacle hall equipment includes an ice rink, stage, dance floor and an outdoor stage set.
The saucer was opened in 1971 and has since been used to organize major sporting and cultural events, including concerts by well-known foreign artists. Many championship events take place here, including championships (European or world) in disciplines such as basketball, volleyball, handball and ice hockey. Celebrities such as Depeche Mode, Rammstein, Slash, Deep Purple, The Cure and The Prodigy have already played on the local stage.
