Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra

At the headquarters of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice there are two concert halls, housing in turn 1.8 thousand. and 300 viewers. Every year, concerts and meetings with outstanding musicians are organized, bringing together a total of over 150,000 music lovers.

The orchestra itself was founded in 1935. Its members are musicians recognized all over the world, playing not only in Poland but also in various European countries and even other continents. The orchestra ensemble has also recorded about 200 records for the needs of various record companies.

Interestingly, the founders gave the orchestra the name Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra. The "National" member was added in 1999 in recognition of his contribution to the cultural development of Poland.
