Centre of Polish Scenography

Branch of the Silesian Museum, which deals with documenting the native stage design achievements. The Center collects a wide range of objects, such as designs, sketches, photos, mock-ups, dolls, props, costumes and video materials showing stage design achievements.

The Polish Stage Design Center collection includes works from the period after 1945. Thanks to extensive collections, you can observe the development of Polish stage design from the post-war period to modern times.

The collection of the Polish Stage Design Center includes works by such artists as Otto Axer, Władysław Daszewski, Andrzej Kreutz Majewski, Adam Kilian, and Zofia Wierchowicz, as well as Tadeusz Kantor and Jerzy Gurawski.
