The historic castle, after renovation in 2009, houses a comfortable hotel with a SPA. Concerts and other cultural events are held in magnificent chambers. The interiors are reserved for hotel guests, but the palace courtyard and park are open to the public.
The castle in Karpniki is one of the most beautiful and best-kept strongholds in Poland. The building was built in the 15th century on the site of a stronghold destroyed by the Hussites, often changing owners. In 1846, during the reign of prince Wilhelm Hohenzollern, the castle was rebuilt, giving it a neo-gothic interior and a romantic-defensive character. A beautiful landscape park has been created around the residence.
During World War II, the occupiers organized a museum repository of works of art in the castle, which they later took to Germany. After the end of the war, the castle was plundered by the Soviet army, and then it changed owners and its technical condition deteriorated more and more. Only in 2009, together with the park, it passed into private hands, returning to its former glory.
