The historic railway line 340 gives you the opportunity to ride a manually powered rail vehicle - a draisine. The ride takes place along railway tracks, which are one of the highest in Poland (544.3 m above sea level), as well as having the largest gradient (5.16%) on traditional railways.
The idea of reviving the former railway line was born in 2005. Thanks to the almost forgotten vehicles, you can try your hand at the Carpathian mountain railway routes. The attraction is located on a closed railway station. The draisine is a small rail vehicle driven by the power of human muscles, which was once used to transport people or materials for maintenance works. The revitalization of line 340, which had its origins back in 1895, is the result of a private initiative of two city residents. The ultimate goal is to restore connections on lines 340 and 308 along with historic rail infrastructure.Less
