The planetarium is part of the Nicolaus Copernicus Museum. From 1973 it is located in the basement of the former cathedral bell tower called the Radziejowski Tower. On the dome with a diameter of 8 m, images of the sky are visible from anywhere on Earth, the path of the Sun, planets, comets and artificial satellites, as well as images of over 6,000 stars.
