The Gothic archcathedral in Frombork has been on the list of historical monuments since 1994. It is here that the mortal remains of Nicolaus Copernicus rest.

The archcathedral collection contains epitaphs, including the epitaph of Nicolaus Copernicus, as well as the most valuable in the collection of the epitaph of canon Bartłomiej Boreschow from 1426. This is the only medieval epitaph in the shape of a circle has been presented at many foreign exhibitions, among others in New York, Prague and Munich. 

In addition, the cathedral in Frombork can be proud of the wonderful sound of organs that can be admired during concerts. The International Organ Music Festival takes place here in summer. In the basilica there is a picture of Bl. Dorota from Mątów, as well as the works of Piotr Kolberg from 1710-1721.

The rich furnishings of the basilica also include 23 altars, mainly from the 17th century. Among them, the main altar with elements of pink and black marble, as well as a late-Gothic polyptych founded by uncle Mikołaj Kopernik, bishop Łukasz Watzenrode. The craftsmanship of craftsmanship also delight the Chapel of the Savior and Chapel of St. George.
