Galeria EL Art Center is housed in a rebuilt Dominican church from the 13th century. It is now a modern art and culture center with numerous concerts, exhibitions and meetings. From 1967, the Biennial of Spatial Forms was organized here. These projects decided about the high rank of Galeria EL and its distinctiveness among other similar facilities.
One of the gallery's main tasks is to promote contemporary art as well as organize artistic workshops, concerts and book promotions. In the basement of the building there are cyclical concerts of funk, blus-rock and jazz music, meetings of cultural societies, as well as poetic evenings. Galeria Laboratorium is located in a former sacristy. This part of the former church has been adapted for multimedia as well as film presentations, small music forms and small painting exhibitions.
Since 2004, a series of concerts entitled "Jezzowo-Blusowe Summer". Thanks to co-financing from the European Union in 2011, it became possible to enrich the gallery interior with a new, glass, two-level gallery, where exhibitions take place.
