Lednice Landscape Park

Local name: Lednicki Park Krajobrazowy

The nature and historical park was established to protect the extremely valuable lands around Lake Lednica. These areas are considered by historians to be the cradle of the Polish state. Therefore, there are about 350 archaeological sites within the park (including settlement complexes from the times of the first Piasts). The park was established in 1988 and covers 7,618 ha.

The Lednica Landscape Park is covered with a dense network of hiking and cycling routes. The latter connects with the EuroVelo European Cycle Route. The Piast Trail with Ostrów Lednicki deserves special attention. One of the most important local attractions is the Museum of the First Piasts.

In turn, the most interesting natural tourist attractions include the observation of geese wintering on Lake Lednica. On the so-called On the Waliszewski Hill (more or less halfway along Lake Lednica) there is an interesting viewpoint from which you can admire the landscape of the Park.
