The Museum is a complete and efficient typographic printing house, with fonts, matrices, foundry and bookbinding machines. It is the only institution of this type in Poland. Visitors can follow the next steps of archaic printing using the method. The facility organizes workshops, shows and lessons for the youngest.
Since 1806, the printing house belonged to the Prochaska family, the popularizer of printing in Cieszyn Silesia. The remains of the biggest printing house in the Austrian-Hungarian Monarchy can be seen in the Museum.
Here you can see machines and devices and know their use in past printers. Participants in the workshop perform the next stages of printing. From manual text placement with single letters, later folding and casting on the machine. To bounce on paper and the final stage of merging into a book form.
