Nineteenth-century theater building is a classic example of wooden architecture in the Swiss style, distinctive rich woodcarving decorations and distinctive roofs. In its interior it is now 323 spectators, and the boards are staged traditional performances and concerts. In the mid-nineteenth century Ciechocinek enjoyed great popularity among patients who are resting after surgery expecting interesting forms of spending your time. The spa also stayed Jan Szymkajło - actor from Vilnius and Krakow, who along with his friends organized a Ciechocinku first theater performances. Designed by Schimmelfennig Summer Theatre was commissioned by the authorities of the spa in 1891 to arrange the spectacles and let flourish the arts. Originally, the building housed 240 viewers in chairs and six lodges. During the reconstruction in 1901 increased the number of seats to 285. On the stage of the theater occurred Ciechocinek teams Ratajewicz Paul, brothers Sarnowskich, Felicjan Felińskiego, Julian Grabińskiego, and on the boards exposed, among others, art Wyspiańskiego and Ibsen.
