Vistula panorama of Toruń

Local name: Wiślana panorama Torunia

The Vistula Panorama of Toruń took the second place in the online competition '7 Wonders of Poland' organized in 2007 by the 'Rzeczpospolita' newspaper. From the small observation deck you can admire, among others the Sailing Gate, the Cathedral of the St. John’s, the Court of St. George, the towers of the Old Town Hall, baroque granaries, remains of the medieval and later city defensive walls and the embankment of the Philadelphia Boulevard. It is worth visiting the viewpoint in the evening, when the nighttime illumination adds charm to the river's panorama.

The border of the Vistula Panorama of Toruń is set by two bridges: the Józef Piłsudski road bridge and the Ernest Malinowski railway bridge. The viewpoint itself is also located at the end of the non-existent bridge.

The observation platform is located on an island located on the left bank of the Vistula, called Kępa Bazarowa, and is situated opposite the Mostowa Gate. Wyspa Kępa Bazarowa is the Lower Vistula Valley nature reserve and is protected by the Natura 2000 program.
