Covering the area of over 47ha, Silesian Zoological Garden is the third biggest zoo in Poland. It's inhabited by almost 3200 animals belonging to 331 species. Feeding of red pandas, pelicans and brown bears can be observed at certain times.
The area of the zoo contains renewed in 2007 rocky Basin of Dinosaurs with the real-size models of various prehistoric reptilian species. It was created in 1975 and was then one of a kind place in the country.What attracts the attention of children the most is the Mini Zoo. Another attraction is Mini Line Park Zoolandia which can be used by kids from 3 to 13 years old. Five food courts won't allow leaving without a full stomach, while ice-cream parlors and plushie kiosks will please the youngest.Less
