The Regional Museum in Chojnów is located in the Piast Castle. The facility has archaeological, historical and ethnographic collections. In addition, there are numismatic items, handicrafts, works of art and antique furniture. Particularly noteworthy is the 16th-century sgraffito, which were brought from the Schellendorf court in Zagródno.
The museum has collected archaeological collections from the Neolithic to the period of Roman influence. The historical exhibition presents, among others tools for flax processing, full forging equipment, locksmith and blacksmith products, and ethnographic exhibition furniture and chests found in Silesia and Lusatia. In addition, the museum has an outdoor exhibition showing relics of castle buildings and organizes temporary exhibitions.
Originally, the museum was located in the Weavers' Tower. Since 1933, its seat has been a Renaissance castle. Noteworthy is the preserved beautiful, richly decorated portal with the bust of the founders - Frederick III and his wife Katarzyna Mecklenburg.
