Music District

The music district with a fountain and park is an ideal place for a walk and meeting with culture in silence and surroundings of greenery. Multimedia fountain is one of the attractions of the district, other are the Jan Kochanowski's park and surroundings of the Pomeranian Philharmonic. The installation located in front of philharmonic building combines interaction of water, light, and music.

Covering 12 hectares, the area of the music district created in the 1970s has been systematically complemented with monuments of famous virtuosos. At the present time, the collection includes 17 busts exhibited inside the philharmonic hall and 15 monuments in the surrounding park. Among the honored virtuosos are Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Stravinsky, Bach, and many other famous masters.

Apart from the philharmonic, the complex of the district buildings is also created by the Music Academy, the Music Schools Complex, the Polish Theatre, the Polish Radio of Pomerania and Kuyavia, as well as several other buildings.
