An unusual figure of a naked man with a loincloth on his hips, a long pole in one hand, and a arrow of the Archer in the other does not stand on a pedestal in the park green, but balances on the line dashed by Brda, symbolizing a linchpin struggling with winds.
Sculpture made of resinous composite with brass dust is relatively light, because at the height of 2.2 m, weighs only 50 kg. Only anchored at one point to a 100 meter rope is constantly retaining its position, which is a result of perfect balance and placing the center of gravity below the anchorage.
The figure was created in the artist's studio by the sculptor Jerzy Kędziory and since 2004 it has been one of the most interesting attractions in Bydgoszcz. The unveiling of the monument was connected with the accession of Poland to the European Union and to this day is a symbolic commemoration of this event. Apparently, the face of a bridegroom from Brda has the features of the artist's son.
