The Parish Museum in Blizne is located in the wooden vicar house from 1699, reconstructed in the 1960s and part of the church and clergy complex which was entered in the UNESCO world heritage list. It consists of, among others, souvenirs related to the history of the local All Saints’ Parish such as documents, devices and liturgical robes. One of the most valuable items is the manuscript „Willa Blizne episcopalis visitatia 1745”, a testimony of the visitation of Wacław Sierakowski, Bishop of Przemyśl. There are also old agricultural tools and household devices.
It is worth to visit neighboring monumental objects: the Gothic wooden church and complex from the 18th and 19th centuries (former parish school, hospital for the poor, carriage house, granary). Thanks to priest Marek Grzebyk, a tourist center also operates here. The extension of the exposition is planned in the future.Less
