Museum of 1st Krechowce Uhlan Regiment

The museum is located inside the tower of Church of Our Lady of Częstochowa in Augustów - former military Orthodox church, which, since 1921, had been functioning as a church of Polish Armed Forces garrison. The institution displays collections related to the history of the regiment which had been camping in the city since 1939. They consist of various photos, documents and military decorations.

The exhibitions present military uniforms with their equipment. Among the items displayed in the museum, particular attention deserves the uniform of the lieutenant of the 1st Krechowce Uhlan Regiment. It consists of the bearskin with crowned eagle in front, the leather strap and the wool jacket with standing collar with attached amaranthine-white burgee.
