The fort is part of the defensive fortifications around Amsterdam, fully inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It was a model fort with very good equipment. After the war, it was used as a prison, and then as a warehouse for explosives and ammunition. Currently, there is an elegant business and leisure space.
