Fort along the Liede
Local name: Fort aan de Liede
The fort was built in 1843-1846 to defend the perimeter channel and dike of the Haarlemmermeer polder. At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, it was included in the system of defensive fortifications around Amsterdam, now fully inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is not open to the public.
