The Gouda Museum is a historical museum located in a 14th-century hospital building in the center of Gouda. The collection focuses mainly on art and monuments directly related to the city and region. You can see here a huge model presenting Gouda in 1562, examples of local ceramics and antique stained glass. One of the attractions is the room with many torture tools. The museum also has a large collection of paintings from the 19th century.
The museum offers numerous attractions for children. Stacking puzzles are found in many exhibition halls, and a playroom is located on the ground floor. Children can play with a variety of items, dress up in available costumes and do artistic work.
The museum garden is open to visitors. There are several statues and glass showcases with historic exhibits. There is also a small cafe with a terrace.
