Market

The most important city market square in Gouda was built in the second half. XIV century on drained marsh wasteland. In 1448, the construction of the monumental town hall began, around which numerous weekly and annual fairs took place, which are continued until today. In the 17th century, a municipal scale edifice was built to support lively trade.
