Philips Museum
Local name: Philips Museum
The Philips Museum stands exactly in the same place where in 1891 Gerard Philips (son) and Frederik Philips (father) opened the first bulb factory. One of the more surprising exhibits are the shavers called "lunar" - coming from the 1980s shavers specially designed for use in orbit around the earth.
The museum presents all stages of development of today's Philips group - from the first filament with a filament of carbon fiber, through radios, x-ray machines, home appliances and electronics and countless devices from the market of consumer automation. Philips owes the world to the invention of a cassette tape and a laser disc player.
Thinking about fun for families with children, the museum offers a tour of explorers, during which you can learn the principles of operation of an LED bulb or see how it is created and what X-rays are for.
