Eye Film Museum
Local name: Eye Film Museum
EYE Film Instituut Nederland (formerly the Nederlands Filmmuseum), or the National Film Museum in Amsterdam, is an institution that boasts an extraordinary collection of approximately 46,000 films. The museum also owned movie posters (approx. 35,000) and stills (approx. 450,000). You can also see original scripts and props here.
The museum film library contains mainly Dutch film productions. Also includes foreign films that have entered Dutch cinemas. Guests can take part in a screening in one of the two cinema halls. There is also a cafe and library with a rich collection of film art awaiting them.
The former seat of the museum was the 19th-century Vondelparkpaviljoen standing in the Vondelpark. However, in 2012 the museum moved to a new building with a modern construction, then it changed its name.
