The National Museum of Natural History is located in an 18th-century palace, rebuilt by Grand Master Antonio Manoel de Vilhen in 1726. The museum's exhibition areas cover a variety of topics such as Maltese geology and paleontology, exotic mammals, marine fauna, insects, shells and birds, and other topics such as human evolution.
