Folklore Museum presents exhibitions reflecting the traditional lifestyle of the inhabitants of Gozo, who paraded, among others fishing, hunting, weaving, blacksmithing, wheelwrighting, lace-making and making clay vessels. The museum presents everyday objects and reconstructions of traditional rooms with equipment from the 16th century.
The Folklore Museum is located within the Citadel - a late-medieval fortified city. The exhibition rooms were created from several connected houses that remember the times before the arrival of the Knights of St. John on the Maltese Islands. A traditional forge, carpentry workshop, mill, kitchen and bedroom were reconstructed, equipped with original, traditionally used craft and agricultural tools.
The collection of miniature churches - complex constructions, recreated down to the smallest detail, including furniture and interior deserves special attention.
