St. Roque's Chapel (aka Our Lady of Light), or the Chapel of St. Rocha (Chapel of Our Lady of Light) is a small but architecturally interesting temple built in the Baroque style chapel, whose facade is closed by Ionian pilasters. It was built in 1723-1730 on the site of the fourteenth-century chapel of the Holy Cross.
The name of the chapel of Our Lady of Light comes from the painting with this title, located in the temple. The object has only one altar, which is distinguished by a rich sculptural setting and a centrally located canvas depicting the crucifixion of Christ. On the sides there are decorative medallions with images of the figure of Saint. Paweł and św. John the Baptist.
Chapel of St. Rocha was originally near the city gate, where it was known as Santa Maria della Porta. Currently, the chapel no longer performs sacred functions - it is available as a place for cultural events.
