Roman Catholic church of St. Pantaleon owes its special fame to the large size of the canvas by Gian Antonio Fumiani. The picture presents Martyrdom and the apotheosis of Saint. Pantaleon. According to tradition, the temple was built as early as the ninth century, but the earliest written mention of it dates back to 1101.
The impressive size of Antonio Vivarini's picture Coronation of the Virgin Mary is also remarkable. He was placed in the chapel on the left side of the main altar. There is also the last work of Paolo Veronesse, namely the Miracle at San Pantalon, which he began working on one year before his death.
The church is one of the oldest Venetian parishes.
