Tirol is a village situated in a mountain valley, surrounded by picturesque alpine slopes. There is a medieval castle, from which the entire region takes its name, and many picturesque walking routes.
Tyrol Castle has been the seat of the Count of Tyrol since the Middle Ages. The name of the castle and the village belonging to it gave the name of the entire region located on the Italian and Austrian sides of the border. Currently, there is a museum in the castle. You can also take part in the bird of prey shows organized in the castle Greifvogel Flugschau.
Among the attractions of Tirol are, above all, the beautiful mountain surroundings, which offer the possibility of active tourism. There are hiking trails of varying difficulty, from mountain promenades such as the Trappeiner Trail to challenging climbing routes. During the trips, you can admire not only beautiful views of the rocky peaks, but also nature and traditional buildings integrated into it.
