Marmore Waterfall

Local name: Cascata delle Marmore

The artificial waterfall was created by the ancient Romans. Its total height is 165 meters, which makes it the highest artificial waterfall in the world. It has three sections, the highest of which is 83 meters. Lake Piediluco above the waterfalls serves as a reservoir for the Galleto power plant, built in 1929.
