The ancient theater is the second largest theater in Sicily. It has Greek-Roman origin and was built in a wonderful viewpoint from which you can admire the mass of Mount Etna and the Ionian Sea. It was probably built in the 3rd century BC. It currently functions as an arena for cultural events.
