Castel dell'Ovo

Built in the 9th century by the Normans, the castle is on a small island connected to Naples by a 100-meter dike. It is a massive building, partly destroyed as a result of numerous wars, which offers a nice view of the coast and the buildings of Naples. Under the walls is the former fishing village of Borgo Marinari, which is famous for its excellent restaurants.
