The Basilica of Sant'Eufemia is a Catholic place of worship located in the historic center of Milan on the square of the same name along Corso Italia. The building was built in the fifth century on the initiative of the bishop of San Senatore, who brought to the city the relics of Saint Eufemia, to whom the church was dedicated. The temple was rebuilt in the 15th century and then underwent renovation in 1870.
The interior of the church is in the neo-Gothic style. The walls and ceiling are decorated with numerous frescoes. In the church you can see the Brasca Tomb carved by Cristoforo Solari, the painting Marriage of Saint Catherine, Pentecost, Madonna and Child and Madonna of the Holy Rosary. In the basilica there are antique pipe organ built by Natale Balbiani in 1909.
