One of the oldest parts of the Ducal Palace in Mantua. It is a defensive castle erected at the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries by Franciszek I Gonzaga on a rectangular plan with massive, square towers in the corners. Inside, some of the decorations have survived, as well as the decor of the private apartments of the prince and his wife.
