Levico Terme is a thermal spa located on the shores of a mountain lake. The only arsenic-iron springs in Italy are here, and the area is a great place for active tourism.
The resort in Levico Terme developed in the second half of the nineteenth century on the basis of the popularity of trips "to the waters". The local waters have medical properties confirmed by research and are used both for bathing and drinking. The heart of the spa is the romantic spa park Park Terme di Levico with numerous resort buildings such as a pump room, 19th century guesthouses, gazebos and relaxation areas.
The location on the lake shore means that you can practice water sports in Levico Terme. There is a canoe, sailboat and boat rental. There is also a bathing beach in high season. The areas above the village are perfect for hiking, and paragliders take off from the surrounding hills. The village of Vetriolo is located at an altitude of 1500 m above sea level, where there is a mineral spring in the grotto, the waters of which are brought to Levico Terme. In winter, the Panarotta 2002 ski resort operates in the surrounding mountains.
