Iglesias is a historic town on the Sardinian coast. It has a well-preserved historic center and access to nice beaches.
The city is surrounded by a diverse coast with many bays, capes and small beaches hidden among the rocks. Some of them are developed, others allow you to relax on your own, away from the crowds. The most famous beaches in the area are Masuna Beach and Port Cauli Beach. They are surrounded by high cliffs, which adds to their charm.
However, Iglesias is not only about beaches. The city has an exceptionally nice development consisting of tenement houses with wrought balconies standing tightly along cobbled streets. The focal point is Piazza Municipio square, with an ancient church and houses with colorful facades. In addition to restaurants and cafes, it is also worth visiting the tourist information center, which has an interactive exhibition that allows you to learn about the main attractions of the region.
