Piazzale Michelangelo

Built in the second half Nineteenth century, the square is the largest and most popular viewpoint in Florence. Located on a hill, the area provides a wonderful, most-viewed and photographed panorama of the city. In the center of the square a copy of the famous Michelangelo sculpture depicting the biblical David was placed.
