Basilica of Santa Croce

The Franciscan temple is sometimes called the Pantheon because of the tombstones of famous personalities, including Michelangelo, Dante Alighieri, Galileo and Niccolò Machiavelli. The church was built in the years 1294-1442, while the neo-Gothic facade and belfry come from the nineteenth century.
