The Wolfson Garden was opened to visitors in 1975. It was established in areas which between 1948 and 1967 were a no man's land belt between Israel and the Arab states. Its upper part is in the hands of the Israeli Film Institute. There is a terrace here, which hosts numerous outdoor events, including those related to the Jerusalem International Film Festival.
The creation of the park lasted from 1968. The first trees were planted in the presence of representatives of the highest state authorities. The park is a picturesque greenery in which extensive lawns are surrounded by clumps of trees. Winding paths led between them. There is a Youth Music Center and Film Institute in the park.
