Széchenyi Thermal Baths are the largest healing baths in Europe. There are a total of 21 pools here, which can be used by both women and men. The swimming pools also have outdoor pools, which are open all year round. The baths are powered by two natural hot springs at 74 ° C and 77 ° C.
The waters supplying the pools contain sulfates, bicarbonates, calcium, magnesium and fluorides, which is why they are recommended for the treatment of various diseases of the joints and musculoskeletal system. There is a sauna and steam chambers at the property, as well as therapeutic massage. Aquafitness classes are also held here.
Széchenyi Thermal Baths were established in the first half of the 20th century and from the beginning enjoyed great popularity of the city's inhabitants. The building was designed by Győző Czigler in a richly decorated Neo-Baroque style. Outdoor pools were opened in the interwar period.
