It is the largest interactive railway museum in Central Europe. The museum has the form of a theme park, where in the open air you can see numerous locomotives, wagons, draisines and other items of railway equipment from the 19th and 20th centuries. The museum also organizes various attractions dedicated to children and young people.
The Railway Museum was founded in 2000 and is located in the former railway station, and its area is over 70 thousand m2. One of the most interesting exhibits is a restaurant car made in 1912 from earthen wood for the purposes of Orient Express. Interesting is also the Soviet lapwing car, which belonged to the Hungarian Prime Minister Jenő Fock in the 70s, and which was later adapted to run on rail rails.
