Venetian Loggia

Local name: Ἐνετική Λότζια

Loggia or club for highly-born representatives of the Heraklion community was built in the first half of the 17th century. Its creator was the Italian architect Francesco Morosini. It is a late Renaissance building with aracdean windows and an internal courtyard. It refers to ancient buildings and is considered one of the better examples of the Renaissance in Crete.
