National Observatory of Athens

Astronomical observatory founded in 1842. Due to its location on the Nimf Hill and the center of Athens, it cannot be used for observation at this time. The neoclassical building with a high dome houses a museum presenting 19th century instruments for observing the sky and the original equipment of the observatory.
