Kerameikos Cemetery

Ancient Athens cemetery used continuously from the 9th century BC to Roman times. Its name comes from the district of potters and ceramics manufacturers, on the site of which it was created. On its territory are the remains of several temples, the road leading to the Platonic Academy and the outer wall.
