Ruins of Ehrenfels Castle

Local name: Ruine Burg Ehrenfels

The castle ruins stand on the steep slope of Rüdesheimer Berg, which also has some of the best vineyards in Germany. A part of the walls with two 33-meter corner towers and the remains of the palace and gate have survived to this day. The castle is part of the Middle Rhine Valley, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2002.
