BINGEN AM RHEINGermany
Mouse Tower in Bingen
Local name: Binger Mäuseturm
The stone tower was built already in Roman times, and after destruction it was rebuilt by Hatto II, Archbishop of Mainz. Her name "Mouse Tower" is associated with folk service similar to that known in Poland. In 1689 the tower was destroyed by the French army, and then rebuilt in 1855 as a Prussian signal tower.
