Local name: Rheingauer Weinmuseum

The original structure was probably one of the first stone castles in the Rhine Gorge. The fortress is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Older literature suggested that Brömserburg was built on the foundations of a Roman fort, which was ultimately not confirmed. From 1950, it houses the Wine Museum.
