The Crystal Wealth Museum is a publicly available part of the Mineralogical National Collection in Munich. Contains about 100,000 exhibits, including gems such as diamonds and emeralds. There is also a collection of meteorites, as well as quartz from the Alpine region and minerals from Bavarian mineral deposits.
As part of the exhibition, the formation and properties of minerals and crystals were discussed in detail. The collection includes, inter alia, the collections of Nikolaus de Beauharnais. Exhibits include specimens such as Rubellite Crystal and Takowaya Emerald.
The Mineralogical National Collection in Munich is one of five research institutions of the State Library of Natural Sciences of Bavaria. The museum is located on the site of the former Turkish barracks, in the building of the Faculty of Mathematics at Ludwig Maximilian University.
