Eisbachwelle is a unique tourist attraction in Munich - an artificially created wave that attracts professional surfers from around the world and tourists interested in this sport. The famous wave is formed on the artificial river Eisbach, which flows through the park Englischer Garten, the largest public park in Munich. It is 1 meter high and about 12 meters wide and the flow speed is about 5 m per second.

Eisbachwelle is an amazing attraction for all enthusiasts of water sports. This is a unique opportunity to surf in the middle of the city. This unique place, although located in the hinterland, has become a center where surf competitions gather crowds of tourists watching the evolved effects.

The most popular surfing wave is on the southern edge of the park, right next to Haus der Kunst. A few hundred meters further north of Englischer Garten, there is a second standing wave, designed for beginner surfers.
