One of the most beautiful streets of Lübeck is filled with numerous examples of Renaissance bourgeois architecture. Together with Mengstraße, Breiter Straße, Sandstraße, Klingenberg, Mühlenstraße, it marks the St. Mary's Quarter (Marien Quartier) - one of the parts of the old town, named after the St. Mary's Gothic church.
